Currently, we are collecting information on BIOS32, PCI BIOS, and the Plug 'n' Play (PnP) BIOS for use in our OS. We have obtained the official specs for all of these so far, and one of the works in progress is a small DOS program that checks for the presence of each, and, if found, performs some brief analysis on the capabilities and features present. Currently it does detect the presence of each, but we plan to extend the program to start querying the PCI BIOS about its capabilities and present devices.
